Spiritual experiences or day to day life?

Updated: Jun 20, 2020

Are you waiting to be enlightened? And if you’re not there yet, everything else seems tasteless?

I don’t call it enlightenment, but I have experienced times of incredible union with the planet, unison with everything that exists, spiritual revelations, amazing sensations and ultimate knowing. Does it happen for me all the time? No. Does it make other experiences less then? Hell no.

We are here to live life in a body in a very physical way, otherwise we would have chosen to be here in a different form or be somewhere else - that’s my point of view.

There’s always this longing for “something else”, to feel this amazing unison, and some of us are more aware of it than others. So, we’re searching for it, I know I am. But I’m not searching for it while not living this life.

I’m searching and experiencing it WHILE I’m living this life, here, on this beautiful planet in a body.

I can even tell you that one of my most amazing experiences of real unison with the planet, was not while meditating or while participating a special class or event, but while being with my family, talking and spending time together.

Funny, isn’t it? I always thought I needed to be alone in order to get there, to meditate, to connect in a very attentive way. But it happened, while I was “just” living and interacting with people around me. I did have to allow it to happen, not block it away and be present with it. But still, I was with my surroundings the whole the time.

After having those experiences, I appreciate and see more of day to day things, how amazing they are. A bee touches a flower, light wind moving a curtain, my children moving their bodies in their own unique way, human bonds, cats being cats, the smell of the earth after it rains, a wrinkle in the corner of the eye when smiling.

All of those are phenomenal. Don’t just wait to be enlightened or to have spiritual experiences. The divine is in everything, just look around you and engage with it.
